Frequently Asked Questions

Please check here for common questions and concerns.

Do you direct bill to extended health care benefits?

No, we do not.

Patients are required to pay for their appointment and submit the receipt to their own benefit provider.

Do I need a referral or prescription to book an appointment?

You do not need a referral to book and attend a Massage Therapy appointment.

You may need a prescription for your extended health care benefits. This is individual to every policy so it is up to you to know if you need this or not.

What types of payment do you accept?

Cash, electronic transfer and debit/credit cards are accepted forms of payment.

What are you doing to protect me from potential exposure to COVID-19?

Massage Therapists are Regulated Health Professionals in Ontario and as such, have mandated procedures we must follow. They type of mask worn and the frequency it must be changed. They type of disinfectant used for cleaning

  • The RMT completes a daily Covid screening prior to coming to work and every patient completes a Covid screening prior to receiving treatment.

  • The RMT and the patient are BOTH required to wear a mask.

  • ALL linens, including sheets, blankets, pillowcases, facecloths and towels are NEW for you. Nothing is re-used.

  • There are 30 minutes between treatments so that the RMT can both clean and disinfect the Treatment room. This includes the table, floor, items used and frequently touched surfaces.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided and or the ability to wash your hands upon arrival.

  • Contactless payment options are available.

What should I expect for my first treatment?

If you are coming for the first time, expect a few emails. A health history will arrive and it is mandatory for Massage Therapists to have one of these on file. If it is not completed prior to your arrival, part of your treatment time will be used to do this. At the bottom of that health history is a section where you can fill out extended health benefits. This saves time as well if you are hoping to direct bill your appointment. An electronic covid screening form will be emailed within 24 hours of your treatment time. This is also mandatory and if not completed will take up a portion of your treatment time. Once we get into the treatment room there will be a few additional questions. This usually only takes a minute or two. An assessment will also be completed. The depth and duration are dependant on what brings you in for treatment. With the remaining time a hands on treatment will take place.
